JSC "GOMEL WINE FACTORY"
The history of the organization’s creation dates back to 1925, when the communal subsidiary unitary enterprise “Gomel Winery” was founded as a processing point for fruits and vegetables. Since 1934, it has been renamed the Gomel Winery. At that time, the production capacity of the enterprise was 4.3 thousand liters of wine per year, the range of products consisted of 10 types of blended and varietal wines.
1968 year
Start of grape wine production
Since 1968, the company began producing grape wines (secondary winemaking). The production volume for this year amounted to 605.4 thousand deciliters, including: 363.7 thousand deciliters of fruit wines and 241.7 thousand deciliters of grape wines. Over the years, production volume increased and the product range expanded. By 1985, the total production volume at the plant reached 1122.6 thousand deciliters, including: 798.6 thousand deciliters of grape wines and 324.0 thousand deciliters of fruit wines.
1987 year
Since 1987, the production of fruit wines was discontinued, the production volume of grape wines was reduced by 2 times, and the enterprise was repurposed for the production of canned food (juices) and confectionery products in connection with the 1986 anti-alcohol program.

Modern history of the enterprise
The modern history of the enterprise began in the 90s of the last century with the revival of fruit and berry winemaking. Since 1991, the company resumed production of fruit wines.
2001 year
In December 2001, the Gomel Winery became a municipal subsidiary unitary enterprise.
2011 year
In July 2011, a line for the production of alcoholic beverages was put into operation.
In addition, in 2011, by reorganizing the KDUP "Gomel Winery" and joining it with the KDUP "Rechitsa Winery", KDUP "Chechersk Winery" and KDUP "Rogachevsky Beverage Plant", the enterprise was transformed into the Open Joint Stock Company "Gomel Winery" in accordance with the decision of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee dated December 8, 2011. No. 1399.
In addition, in 2011, by reorganizing the KDUP "Gomel Winery" and joining it with the KDUP "Rechitsa Winery", KDUP "Chechersk Winery" and KDUP "Rogachevsky Beverage Plant", the enterprise was transformed into the Open Joint Stock Company "Gomel Winery" in accordance with the decision of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee dated December 8, 2011. No. 1399.
OJSC "Gomel Winery" is one of the leading enterprises producing fruit and fruit wines. Along with this, the company is engaged in the production of vodka, strong alcoholic beverages and alcoholic beverages.
Today, the enterprise is introducing modern production technologies, updating equipment, while preserving ancient production traditions, which allows maintaining the original recipe and high quality products.
